What is Ergonomics?

Ergonomics is the science of fitting jobs and tools to people. It encompasses workstation, tool, and work-flow design to maximize efficiency and comfort.

Ergonomics is a method used to prevent discomfort and injury associated with repetitive motions, unchanging and/or poor postures, and forceful motions or grips on objects.

    • The online training allows us to identify your risks, automate injury prevention activities, and track and analyze your results.
  •  Individual Office Ergonomic Assessments
    • A comprehensive evaluation of an employee's computer workstation
  • Ergonomic Office Product Catalog or Laboratory Product Catalog
  • Matching Funds for recommended and approved ergonomic equipment
    • To help departments offset the cost of implementing recommended or approved office ergonomic equipment for UCR staff and faculty*
  • Ergonomic Department Training
  •  Break Reminder Software
