Abusive Conduct in the Workplace
UC Policy
|
The policy is being offered in the following versions:
|
California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act (CANRA)
UC Policy |
The California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act (“CANRA”), codified at California Penal Code §§ 11164-11174.3, requires that employers of Mandated Reporters (as defined in the Act) promote identification and reporting of child abuse or neglect. |
UCR Policy |
UCOP implemented a policy for reporting known or suspected abuse and neglect of children on all UC campuses and medical centers. Such reporting has been a matter of law in California for certain UC faculty and staff (Mandated Reporters) based upon defined professions and roles. The law was amended effective January 1, 2013 to include a broader group of Mandated Reporters. The policy is intended to ensure that the University is in compliance with the law, and moreover to require that Mandated Reporters also make internal reports to ensure the University’s leadership is promptly made aware of known or suspected abuse of children on our campuses. |
